The WellMed Medicare ACO is a Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACO promoting coordination and cooperation among physicians to improve quality of care for Original Medicare beneficiaries and reduce unnecessary costs. Significant Medicare savings are possible that can then be shared with participating providers.

Physicians will lead and govern the WellMed Medicare ACO


WellMed will appoint strong physician leaders from the community to represent the collective goals and objectives of the WellMed Medicare ACO. This physician-led board of directors will make decisions for the ACO, with participating providers making up 75% of seats.

The support services WellMed provides helps participating physicians to keep patients healthier by promoting a higher level of care that focuses on prevention and quality. We have an entire team to support your patients including specialists, nurses, physician assistants and other team members who partner with you to coordinate their care.

The WellMed Network has a proven track record of helping patients. Patients in the WellMed Network are admitted to the hospital less often and are less likely to have to go back to the hospital than the average Medicare population**
